I have a lot of love and patience for all of Todd Rundgren's weird discography, but since moving upstate I've been listening to this one a lot more. I remember calling city hall to set up my water bill and the friendly guy telling me all about how we get our water from Mink Hollow Stream. Rundgren wrote and recorded this holed up in Woodstock after his breakup with Bebe Buell, with whom he'd created the most Cancer family possible. Liv Tyler famously learned Steven Tyler was her dad later in life, but she originally thought it was Rundgren because he'd adopted and raised her as his own.
