Method acting is a bit of a fixed sign game. You have to sink your heels in and stay there. Daniel Day Lewis is a Taurus, Christian Bale is an Aquarius, Joaquin Phoenix is a Scorpio, but it's the Leos who really light up the screen. Leos live for making the performance shine and feel as authentic as possible. Edward Norton said in an interview recently that actors fall in two camps: the icons and the shape-shifters. I would say other fixed signs fall more in the latter, but Leos can do both simultaneously. I watched Straight Time recently and thought it was beautiful. Dustin Hoffman plays the tragedy of overconfidence brilliantly. But really just watch every single Philip Seymour Hoffman film. Probably the best actor of all time who made every movie he's in good simply because he's in it.
