It's hard to pick just one of her movies, but this one and Gloria are good for wading into the pool. A Woman Under the Influence is where you throw yourself into the deep end.

She had a Sun-Jupiter-MC conjunction in the 10th. In a way, she was destined to be a muse. Cassavetes Sagittarius Sun was conjunct her IC - the line of home and family - but also the seat behind the scenes. Many directors have placements in the 4th house or conjucnt the IC. Anyway, she’s one of the best of all time. Mercurial and hot-tempered. Fast, witty, and with a whirling dervish kind of momentum. There’s a boiling heart, but an intellectual distance at the same time and it was that combo that lent itself to her most compelling strength: towing the line between lucidity and insanity.
